About the Artist:

Edgar a.k.a. Invoker grew up in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.  He graduated from the Grekov Rostov Art College in 1998 in painting.  In 2000 he moved to St. Petersburg and went on to graduate from the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, with a specialization in monumental painting.  He currently lives and works in St. Petersburg.

About the Work:

My research in the arts deals with the subject of consciousness and the phenomena of dreams.  My exploration of these concepts is to work with abstract forms and the dynamics of the materials.  I create a system involving paint, the body and the subconscious mind, creating an abstract perspective of psychic phenomena.
